The University of Western Australia is the State's premier sandstone university and aims to be counted among the top 50 universities in the world by 2050. The University employs approximately 3,700 staff throughout the state and has 27,000 students enrolled in campus and offshore programs.

Health and Wellbeing Achievements

The University of Western Australia actively supports healthy behaviours through a range of policies, facilities and programs. The University has a comprehensive staff health and wellbeing program based on health priority areas and identified staff needs, and consults widely with staff health and wellbeing advocates to help shape and promote the program.

Situated on the Swan River, the Crawley campus features a full medical centre as well as a multitude of physical activity options including a fully equipped gym and sports centre, tennis courts and a number of ovals and pools. The University is smoke free, encourages active transport and responsible alcohol consumption. There are flexible working arrangements and staff can access a variety of services and training to support positive mental health.
