5 Minutes with...MNG's Scott Anderson

5 Minutes Withblog

We recently spent 5 minutes with MNG's Managing Director/CEO, Scott Anderson.  In his role at MNG, Scott has led the drive to bring a strong health and wellbeing focus to MNG along with the support of his team.  MNG were one of the first organisations to have achieved gold in our Recognised Healthy Workplace Program.

Describe your role in 1 sentence…

I have occupied the role of Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer at MNG Surveys for four years, a company I have worked with for some 26 years; the role continues to challenge me in its dynamic nature and my focus is collaboratively setting and implementing future strategy, while ensuring an enjoyable and profitable workplace is maintained.

Right now I want to…

Maintain Health and Safety throughout the workplace, while remaining commercial within the survey industry. I am also focused on promoting the importance of a healthy work/life balance, particularly how it can play an important role in the health and wellbeing of our team.

What makes you smile?

Seeing people meet or exceed their goals and career expectations, particularly when they’re placed in a testing environment. Also having a great team-based attitude where we’re all prepared to do the ‘hard yards’, but also ensure we find time to see the lighter side of things.

What’s the most challenging part of your job?

Keeping all employees heading in the same direction when considering MNG’s strategic goals, as well as ensuring they are meeting or exceeding their potential.

What’s your number one health tip?

The greatest benefit of being in a leadership role is being able to influence others to be fit and healthy. If showing I can be fit and healthy can help motivate others to be fit and healthy then, frankly, I’m ecstatic!

Health Tip: Remain physically and mentally active and eat your greens!

Find out how you can become a recognised healthy workplace.
