LandCorp are the Western Australian Government's land and development agency. Across the State, LandCorp develop land for living and land for working to create places to build our social and economic prosperity. LandCorp have an integrated approach to land and infrastructure development across the city, outer metropolitan area and throughout regional Western Australia.

The majority of LandCorp staff are based in the Perth office, with remaining staff in Bunbury, Karratha, Port Headland and Broome.

LandCorp endeavour to involve regional staff in as many Wellness initiatives as possible and in 2016 they will compete together as a team in their inaugural Get On Track challenge.

Health and Wellbeing Achivements

LandCorp received Gold recognition for their comprehensive approach to health and wellbeing for their staff. This included:

  • A detailed calendar of events outlining the activities for implementation over the next 12 months.
  • Annual budget to implement their workplace health and wellbeing program.
  • Standing agenda item “Health and Wellness” at their Occupational Health and Safety Committee meetings.
  • End of trip facilities including bike racks, showers, change rooms and lockers.
  • Fitness subsidy to all staff to encourage regular physical activity. This subsidy includes activities such as gym memberships, Pilates, yoga or fitness classes such as aerobics and strength training.
  • Implementation of sit-stand workstations over the last 12 months to encourage workers to break up their sedentary behaviour.
  • Free or subsidised initiatives for staff members to participate in, including health checks, education sessions, corporate sport, flu vaccinations, workplace walking challenges and equinox breakfast events for walkers, runners and cyclists.
  • 50% subsidy for staff entry fees to participate in the HBF Run for a Reason and City to Surf.
  • Establishing a cycling club which participates in a range of annual events.
  • Providing a weekly fruit box in every lunch room.
  • Undertaking regular consultation with staff members and evaluating program strategies.

LandCorp also achieved a Gold Worksafe Plan Certificate for their Safety and Health Management system in 2015.
