Health and Wellbeing Profile

The Chevron Wellness Program is coordinated by the Wellness Program Coordinator with the aim of creating a safer, healthier environment for the Chevron workforce and the communities in which the business operates. The Wellness Program is aligned to Chevron's needs and business requirements and is constantly evolving to deliver strategic, innovative and meaningful initiatives.

Governed by a Wellness Committee of 21 members, the Chevron Wellness Program supports employees to make healthy lifestyle choices through interactive workshops and events, educational seminars and targeted campaigns. Senior Management support is viewed as a vital component to the Wellness Program as it brings visibility to various initiatives and provides leadership and endorsement of a particular action or cause. In addition, engagement and staff participation is also regarded by Chevron as critical to the success of any wellness program.  

Health and Wellbeing Program Activities

Chevron's Wellness Program is designed to support health and wellbeing by providing a range of services and initiatives such as:

  • Dedicated Program Coordinator and Wellness Committee to oversee and plan program activities
  • Smoke-free Policy and Quit Smoking Support Program
  • Healthy Catering Guidelines which outlines at least 80% of the food served be in the identified healthy range
  • Staff online health platform 'Healthy You'
  • Education and awareness-raising sessions regarding bowel cancer and other health issues
  • Sit-stand work stations
  • End of trip facilities including bike racks, lockers, showers and drying room
  • Gift Guidelines which recommends healthier alternatives for gifts and rewards (such as gym bags, water bottles, hats etc) and prohibits alcohol 
  • Free registration and participation in community physical activity events such as City to Surf
  • Individual health assessments including the provision of flu vaccinations and skin cancer screenings
  • Fully equipped gymnasium facilities and fitness sessions such as yoga and pilates 
  • Annual staff wellness fair

Annual workplace surveys are conducted to measure and guide future planning for Wellness Program activities.
