Following a needs analysis for a Workplace Wellness Program (see staff consultation), a program coordinator responsible for overseeing the program was identified. The program coordinator undertook the HWWA Coordinator Training and a business case for investing in a Workplace Wellness Program was presented to, and approved by, the Cockburn Ice Arena general manager. The program coordinator then undertook a review of previous and existing Workplace Wellness strategies and activities, such as the Arena's Smoke-Free Policy. Following this, a Workplace Wellness Plan outlining goals, strategies and activities was devised.
