Health and Wellbeing Profile

McMullen Nolan Group's workplace health and wellbeing program is coordinated by the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor and has been running for more than 5 years.

Following senior management support for a workplace health and wellbeing, a dedicated Program Coordinator was appointed to plan and oversee program activities. The Program Coordinator also undertook HWWA Coordinator Training.

"Providing staff with MNG branded sporting gear, towels and gifts made employees part of a cohesive team and worked well in encouraging others to get involved. We found that staff feedback from events held were key in planning of future activities," says McMullen Nolan Group Program Coordinator. 

Health and Wellbeing achievements

  • A dedicated health and wellbeing program coordinator and action plan outlining health and wellbeing initiatives 
  • Healthy Eating and Catering Policy for staff morning teas and other catered events
  • Provision of non-alcoholic options at all internal events
  • Participation in community physical activity events, such as Corporate Triathlon, Ride to Work Day and HBF Run for a Reason
  • End of trip facilities (such as bike racks, bike storage areas, changing room facilities and lockers) to encourage staff to be active before, during and after work
  • Educational and awareness raising seminars and workshops 
  • Sit stand desks and open office layout to encourage office workers to be less sedentary and "stand up and walk" to liaise with office colleagues
  • Annual skin cancer screening and flu vaccinations
  • Weekly delivery of fresh fruit
  • Health and wellbeing and event information included in staff newsletter
  • Evaluation of program activities to guide future planning
