Diabetes WA’s Get on Track Challenge (GOTC) is a free, online team-based challenge that uses fun and friendly competition to encourage participants to make healthier choices. Teams of up to four people progress along a virtual track by inputting their daily fruit and vegetable intake and physical activity. The more you do, the more you move!
Participating in the GOTC provides a fun and supportive team environment to help your workers be active and make healthy food choices. Evaluation of the GOTC found that:
Your workplace can compete in an Official Diabetes WA Challenge (which are coordinated by Diabetes WA) several times a year. Alternatively, you can create your own challenge and choose a date and duration that suits your workplace.
The GOTC can be synced with Jawbone, Fitbit and Garmin fitness devices.
